Anatomy Of The New Man: Transcendence

The new man is the only creature made with an uncreated material. He is the only creature that is not just created but born of God. He constitute of the same material that make up the Creator. As such he transcendence every created thing. He exists in a class far above every created thing — a class that only belongs to the Godhead. Yes, the new man is beyond time and space, matter and void.

He is not subject to matter, neither is he subject to anything created. He sits above all things, every created thing lies subject to him. The power that he wield is supreme, overshadowing and subduing all other.

"Christ is the power of God" (1Cor 1:24).

"For by Him [Christ] all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him." (Col 1:16)

The new man is filled with the power that God used to create every other power and authority. He wields the power that birth every other power — yes, the father of all powers. So you see that every other power are just babies before this mighty power that lives in us. Whatever magic or power that the evil ones think they have, they are just child's play compared to what we command.

"I can do all things..." (Phi 4:13), oh such boldness. If only you realize who you are in Christ. "All things" means all things. There is no end to the possibility, for the power we have is beyond limit. It is transcended. We are transcended, supreme over all of creation, ruler of all things in oneness with the King of kings.

"But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because he who lives in you is greater than he who lives in the world." (1John 4:4).

We are no match for all the power of darkness in the world. Even if all of hell gather to fight against just one of us, they will fall defeated without leaving a scratch on that one man. This is who we are in Christ. This is our reality as the new man, and we are entering into this reality. We are pressing for this greatness.

Anatomy Of The New Man: The Word Of Power

"and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus," (Eph 2:6).

Jesus, right now is on the throne and we are on the throne in oneness with him. What this means is that in Christ we have already inherited the throne. We are one with Christ, as such anything that Christ is we also are. Anything that Christ have we also have. Everything that Christ has been given is actually ours.

"And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth."" (Matt 28:18).

He is seated on the throne in heaven, and we are inside him, sitting on the throne also. All authority has been given to him, and we are inside him wielding all power and authority in heaven and on earth.

"and upholding all things by the word of His power," (Heb 1:3 NKJV).

"and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command." (Heb 1:3 NLT).

"sustaining the universe with his powerful word." (Heb 1:3 GNT).

He has this powerful word of command and he sustains the whole universe with this word. He created the whole world with his powerful word of authority. He speaks a word and it is so. "Let there be light" (Gen 1:3) and light came out of nowhere. Light that was none existence heard his word and came into existence. Even the none existing things obey his voice, how much more that which exist.

When he speaks there is immediate obedience. His mighty words cannot be resisted. There is nothing strong or powerful enough to resist his word of power. And now in oneness with him we wield same word of power. We command such authority, we are empowered to speak the same mighty words — words that even the none existing things obey. "Who art thou that will resist my mighty words? What in the universe that is powerful enough not to obey?"

Such power we have in Christ. Oh, such greatness. We do not repeat ourselves, just a single word of command and response is immediate.

"Suddenly, a man in the synagogue who was possessed by an evil spirit cried out, “Why are you interfering with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are—the Holy One of God!” But Jesus reprimanded him. “Be quiet! Come out of the man,” he ordered. At that, the evil spirit screamed, threw the man into a convulsion, and then came out of him. Amazement gripped the audience, and they began to discuss what had happened. “What sort of new teaching is this?” they asked excitedly. “It has such authority! Even evil spirits obey his orders!” The news about Jesus spread quickly throughout the entire region of Galilee." (Mark 1:23-27).

The Israelite were not surprised that Jesus cast out demons. There have always been demon exorcist in Israel. But these people would spend hours or days trying to cast out a single demon. The Israelite were amazed about Jesus because he spoke a single word and the demons obeyed. He didn't need to repeat his words. There was never a time that Jesus said "come out" twice before a demon obeyed. They don't have a choice, whether they want to come out or not they know they have to whenever Jesus give the order.

"When Jesus arrived on the other side of the lake, in the region of the Gadarenes, two men who were possessed by demons met him. They came out of the tombs and were so violent that no one could go through that area. They began screaming at him, “Why are you interfering with us, Son of God? Have you come here to torture us before God’s appointed time?” There happened to be a large herd of pigs feeding in the distance. So the demons begged, “If you cast us out, send us into that herd of pigs.” “All right, go!” Jesus commanded them. So the demons came out of the men and entered the pigs, and the whole herd plunged down the steep hillside into the lake and drowned in the water." (Matt 8:28-32).

There was never a time that a demon argued with Jesus. "Who art thou", you don't argue with authority, you just obey whether you want to or not. The life of Jesus is a picture of the authority we have. He told us that we would do even much more than he had done (John 14:12). Oh such power we have in Christ, such mighty word of authority. One day I was in a contemplative prayer, pressing into oneness with Christ. As I press I got to such oneness that I could literally feel the power in my mouth. The power was so great that I was afraid of opening my mouth.

I fears that if I opened my mouth and speak there with be thunder and earthquake — yes, that was how intense it was. I could only whisper gently. I felt like if I should authoritatively say anything at that moment it will come to pass immediately. Such level of power is scary. Oh, I only touched it for a moment. I wish to remain like that always, to walk with such level of oneness with Christ that I might might always manifest my true self — the new man.

Anatomy Of The New Man: Fearful King

The new man is the newness God has set in this old dying world. The new man is set in a rebellious world. Everything around him is rebelling against God, and he is charged with the responsibility to see all things reconciled back to God, brought into conformity to the reality in Christ. So we are set as forceful kings to bring into conformity this rebellious world. This is not an easy task, and it cannot be done softly.

"And you will shepherd them with unlimited authority, crushing their rebellion as an iron rod smashes jars of clay!" (Psa 2:9 TPT).

"To all who are victorious, who obey me to the very end, To them I will give authority over all the nations. *They will rule the nations with an iron rod and smash them like clay pots.* They will have the same authority I received from my Father, and I will also give them the morning star!" (Rev 2:26-28).

"She [the bride] gave birth to a son who was to rule all nations with an iron rod." (Rev 12:5).

"From his mouth came a sharp sword to strike down the nations. *He will rule them with an iron rod.* He will release the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty, like juice flowing from a winepress." (Rev 19:15).

When it comes to ruling rebellious subject, we rule with an iron rod, smashing them like clay pots, and forcefully bringing them into conformity. This is the job of the new man even now as he is seated in Christ on the throne in heaven (Eph 2:6). Hence, the new man is not a soft king. He is up to the task, for he rules with a iron rod. He advances with the kingdom mightily and forcefully, bringing into conformity all that he encounters.

"bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ," (2Cor 10:5).

The new man is a fierce warrior sitting on the throne, commanding such irresistible power, bringing all things to obedience. He starts with his members, bringing his thoughts to conformity and obedience to Christ. From his thoughts to his habits, his tendencies, his emotions, his words, his actions and occupation. He brings his flesh to obedience and then advance to the world around him, moving the kingdom as it conquers one rebellion after the other.

Yes, you are not soft. You are tough, you are fierce, and you rule with a iron rod. You are not asking and begging the this rebellion to be conformed to the reality in Christ. No, you are forcefully bringing them to conformity. You are bold and confident. You are courageous because there is nothing that can match the power inside of you — they are all so insignificant in comparison. You kick the devil about like a filthy rage, you smash all of his evil works, you break his power and leave him utterly defeated.

You are an undefeatable one man army, forcefully advancing the reality of Christ in every area of your life. You are unstoppable, moving from one victory to another, putting to wast all the works of the devil. Just keep riding on — keep riding in the victory of our Lord.

Anatomy Of The New Man: Unbreakable

I once shared a post titled, ""I Can Do All Things..." (1); The Low". If you haven't read the post I will advise you do. I will start from something I wrote in that post.

"I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound." (Phil 4:12).

Let me paraphrase that verse, "I know how to survive when I am brought low. I have a supernatural strength that allows me strive no matter how low I am brought. Bring me to the depth of humiliation, inflict on me the greatest affliction, and I will not snap, neither will I be broken. There is no situation I go through in life that I cannot survive, for I am strong in Christ". This is Paul speaking after he has caught the revelation of who he is in Christ.

The new man in Christ is unbreakable. Like gold, when he pass through fire it can only make him shine the more. He cannot bend, his faith is unshakable. He doesn't know how to have doubts, for the very constituent of his stature is faith. When you look at the book of Acts you can't help but notice how everything the devil use to try and stop the Apostles from spreading the gospel only push them further in spreading the gospel.

They were threatened yet they went out into the streets. They were flogged, yet they rejoice over it. They were hurted down, yet they spread and the gospel and reached more people. They were killed, yet their testimony caused many to flock into the kingdom. These were unstoppable and unbreakable. Paul listed all the hardship he went through.

"I have worked harder, been put in prison more often, been whipped times without number, and faced death again and again. Five different times the Jewish leaders gave me thirty-nine lashes. Three times I was beaten with rods. Once I was stoned. Three times I was shipwrecked. Once I spent a whole night and a day adrift at sea. I have traveled on many long journeys. I have faced danger from rivers and from robbers. I have faced danger from my own people, the Jews, as well as from the Gentiles. I have faced danger in the cities, in the deserts, and on the seas. And I have faced danger from men who claim to be believers but are not. I have worked hard and long, enduring many sleepless nights. I have been hungry and thirsty and have often gone without food. I have shivered in the cold, without enough clothing to keep me warm." (2Cor 11:23-27).

Yet, none of these slow him down. These are examples of men who had manifest their new man in Christ. We must all come into oneness with who we are in Christ and experience this greatness. Stop holding on the the old man and his irritating habit of complaining, nagging, fussing about, withdrawing into self-pity, and all feeling sorry for himself. You are strong, you are unbreakable, you are indestructible. You will pass through the fire and come out glorious.

"For by that one offering he forever made perfect those who are being made holy." (Heb 10:14).

You are not half-baked, you are complete, perfected forever. Yes, you are too perfect to crack. The only uncreated thing is the Godhead. Now, just as God made Eve out of the side of Adam, God has made you out of the side of Christ. You are made out of a material that is uncreated — a material that is far superior to any created thing. How then can a created thing break you? Oh, think about it. How can you be broken by that which came after — which was merely created? You came from eternity before time and you will continue after time, moving from eternity to eternity.

There is nothing in time that can break you. Time will come and go but you will remain standing. Every situation you are currently experiencing will come and go but you will remain here. Why are you afraid of that which has not yet happen as if it can break you? When you realize how unbreakable you are then you will fear nothing. Too much money cannot break you, neither will too much poverty. Too much power cannot corrupt you, neither will a complete lack of power. You have nothing to fear or worry about.

No humiliation or shame can diminish the glory that you have in Christ. Jesus faced worse. He was humiliated by mere mortals that he created. They spat at him, mock him, and abase this glorious king. But none of that affect the glory he has in God. Till today he is still the glorious king. This glory that we have in Christ can never be diminished. We are set above all, sitting in the far heaven, supreme over every created thing. We are untouchable.

Whatever victory that it seems the devil is getting over us, it's all an illusion. It is not real. We are forever glorious, we cannot be touched. All we do is rise and rise more glorious. Even when it seems we are breaking, in actuality we are only rising — breaking forth in glory that was once hidden. Yes, all that the hardship could do to us is help those glory that was hidden to break forth. It is bringing out hidden dimensions of the glory of God in us. So rejoice, for you are moving from glory to glory, unstoppable.

Anatomy Of The New Man: The Fiery Eyes

In Scripture we would find several vision and encounters of men of God where the Lord was described as having "eyes like flames of fire".

"The hairs of his head were white, like white wool, like snow. His eyes were like a flame of fire," (Rev 1:14).

"His body was like beryl, his face like the appearance of lightning, his eyes like flaming torches, his arms and legs like the gleam of burnished bronze, and the sound of his words like the sound of a multitude." (Dan 10:6).

"His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself." (Rev 19:12).

What does this fiery eyes mean?

It is the eyes of judgement. The eyes that is able to burn through every hidden thing and expose the truth. Eyes of light that can pierce through every darkness and reveal that which is hidden. It is the eyes of revelation of truth, and the eyes of discernment.

"Anyone who builds on that foundation may use a variety of materials—gold, silver, jewels, wood, hay, or straw. But on the judgment day, fire will reveal what kind of work each builder has done." (1Cor 3:12-13).

Many work might look like genuine work of God, but with eyes like blazing fire, one would be able to see through all the charades and hype. When Jesus appeared to John with eyes like flames of fire, he came with a message for the seven church. He came to judge them and expose the their works, revealing their hidden flaws and unperceivable shortcomings.

Nothing can be hidden in the eyes of blazing fire. It exposes all things. All secret sins and secret works of righteousness are revealed. The true value and nature of everything is exposed. This fiery eyes is an ability of God, something we've inherited as sons of God. Yes, we can operate with that blazing eyes. We can activate it, for it is a feature of the new man in Christ. We are one with the Lord, as such everything he has we also have.

If he could come with fiery eyes, we can also do the same. We can look into every hidden thing and expose the truth. We are light, our eyes is light and it shines into every darkness and unveil that which is hidden. Every secret whether past or present is exposed as we operate with this eyes. Every mystery and knowledge is uncovered. This is why the Scripture tells us that we "know all things" (1John 2:20).

You have this fiery eyes and you need to grow conscious of it. You cannot operate in it if you are not conscious of it. We all need this eyes, for there is so much deception in the world — so much that has been masked as the work of God. If we are to remain undefied we must have eyes that can discern.

One of the job of the priest in the Old Testament is to judge sacrifices. The eyes of the priest must be sharp enough to spot any fault in sacrifices that are to be offered to God. This is to ensure that only the perfect and acceptable sacrifices are offered to the Fearful and Holy God. In the New Covenant we are all priests. This means each one of us must have this eyes to judge everything that is to be presented to God. We cannot continue to offer defied sacrifices and abomination, yet expect that the Kingdom would manifest.

These faulty sacrifices drives away the Kingdom, for the Kingdom is holy and it cannot mix with abomination. Hence, it is very essential that each one of us will begin to operate with this fiery eyes that judges and exposes all things. Eyes that burns through every barrel, penetrate every covering, till the truth be revealed.
