Anatomy Of The New Man: The Fiery Eyes

In Scripture we would find several vision and encounters of men of God where the Lord was described as having "eyes like flames of fire".

"The hairs of his head were white, like white wool, like snow. His eyes were like a flame of fire," (Rev 1:14).

"His body was like beryl, his face like the appearance of lightning, his eyes like flaming torches, his arms and legs like the gleam of burnished bronze, and the sound of his words like the sound of a multitude." (Dan 10:6).

"His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself." (Rev 19:12).

What does this fiery eyes mean?

It is the eyes of judgement. The eyes that is able to burn through every hidden thing and expose the truth. Eyes of light that can pierce through every darkness and reveal that which is hidden. It is the eyes of revelation of truth, and the eyes of discernment.

"Anyone who builds on that foundation may use a variety of materials—gold, silver, jewels, wood, hay, or straw. But on the judgment day, fire will reveal what kind of work each builder has done." (1Cor 3:12-13).

Many work might look like genuine work of God, but with eyes like blazing fire, one would be able to see through all the charades and hype. When Jesus appeared to John with eyes like flames of fire, he came with a message for the seven church. He came to judge them and expose the their works, revealing their hidden flaws and unperceivable shortcomings.

Nothing can be hidden in the eyes of blazing fire. It exposes all things. All secret sins and secret works of righteousness are revealed. The true value and nature of everything is exposed. This fiery eyes is an ability of God, something we've inherited as sons of God. Yes, we can operate with that blazing eyes. We can activate it, for it is a feature of the new man in Christ. We are one with the Lord, as such everything he has we also have.

If he could come with fiery eyes, we can also do the same. We can look into every hidden thing and expose the truth. We are light, our eyes is light and it shines into every darkness and unveil that which is hidden. Every secret whether past or present is exposed as we operate with this eyes. Every mystery and knowledge is uncovered. This is why the Scripture tells us that we "know all things" (1John 2:20).

You have this fiery eyes and you need to grow conscious of it. You cannot operate in it if you are not conscious of it. We all need this eyes, for there is so much deception in the world — so much that has been masked as the work of God. If we are to remain undefied we must have eyes that can discern.

One of the job of the priest in the Old Testament is to judge sacrifices. The eyes of the priest must be sharp enough to spot any fault in sacrifices that are to be offered to God. This is to ensure that only the perfect and acceptable sacrifices are offered to the Fearful and Holy God. In the New Covenant we are all priests. This means each one of us must have this eyes to judge everything that is to be presented to God. We cannot continue to offer defied sacrifices and abomination, yet expect that the Kingdom would manifest.

These faulty sacrifices drives away the Kingdom, for the Kingdom is holy and it cannot mix with abomination. Hence, it is very essential that each one of us will begin to operate with this fiery eyes that judges and exposes all things. Eyes that burns through every barrel, penetrate every covering, till the truth be revealed.
