Stages Of The Seer's Gift

By "seer's gift" I am referring to the ability to see and engage the realm of the spirit. Engaging the realm of the spirit has stages, this is something many of us don't know, that's why we easily get discouraged when pursuing the ability to see into the spirit. I believe with the knowledge that is shared in this post we would have more understanding and faith to pursue this thing.

I have written extensively on the two ways of attaining spiritual abilities. The first, I call foretaste, and this involves the gifts of the Spirit. This can come so powerfully upon a newly born again Christian, and the person would just find himself operating on such high level of the seer's gift. However, this is not so for everyone. In fact, most of us have to struggle from ground level, and press hard to grow to a higher level of the seer's gift.

This post is for that majority that has to struggle from the ground level. It's not easy, but with this understanding shared here you will have more faith to pursue this growth. In previous posts I have established how we already have access to the fullness of God through what Christ did on the cross. Whatever dimension of God you want to manifest, you can through faith in Christ Jesus. But faith without work is dead. And by work I mean developing yourself to be able to penetrate and operate such dimension.

Alright, for the majority who do not have this gift of the Spirit, but yet have Christ in them, you can still access the seer's gift. However, you are not going to get a clear vision the first time you try to see into the spirit. In fact, what you are going to get is shadowy and blurry. And sadly many of us get discouraged and give up. I even heard that someone after having shadowy visions got very upset and said to God, "If all you are going to give me is a shadowy vision, then I don't want to see at all".

"If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities." (Luke 16:10).

God gave you a vision and you are complaining that it is shadowy and blur. You got angry and discouraged, and then decide to give up. Can you see how unfaithful you are? There are people that do not even see at the. But here you are, you even saw something and you are complaining that it is blurry and shadowy. It's just sad that we act this way. If you can be faithful to those shadowy visions, and you rejoice over it and use it, as much as you can, to do the will of God and serve him, then surely you will begin to move into a higher level of the seer's gift. This is something that many of us don't know, as such we give up when we realize we are only having shadowy and blurry visions.

We want to skip steps; we want it to just come upon us at once. At the first try we want to begin seeing visions so clearly, but it is not often so. Anyway, when we remain faithful to those shadowy visions then our visions would begin to get clearer. We get to a place where we see visions that are very clear like you are watching a move. It is important I state that even those who have very clear visions do not have it all the time, sometimes they have shadowy visions too, but they've learned to treat both the same way. Whether shadowy or super clear, as long as it is from the Lord, it should be honoured.

One should not relax when he starts having very clear visions. There is still more that we must press into, for it doesn't end there. We are called to fully experience the God who is spirit. Seeing into the spirit is not enough because only your sight is engaging the spirit realm.

We humans have five senses. Every of the senses of your flesh should be able to engage the spirit realm. I call this full immersion into the realm of the spirit. This means you are not just seeing into the spirit, you are also touching things in the spirit realm. You are engaging all your senses, you see, hear, touch and even smell things in the realm of the spirit. You not only seeing, but you immerse yourself, totally entering into the spirit realm. This is a higher level of the prophetic.

At this level you can even move from one place to another, not just spiritually but physically. Philip was translated from one place to another, Jesus did the same on the night he walked on water. These things are very scriptural.

"But Elisha asked him, “Don’t you realize that I was there in spirit when Naaman stepped down from his chariot to meet you?" (2Kings 5:26).

There is a Bible example of one who moved to another place in the spirit. So it can be done spiritually or physically. The spiritual one also involves going to heaven like the experience that the author of the book of Revelation had. And the physical also involves turning into two, and physically being in two places at the same time—they call this bilocation. The point I am trying to make in this post is that you are not to give up if all you have are shadowy and blurry visions. Keep pressing, and even if your vision gets very clear like an HD TV, please don't stop there. You must continue to press till you are able to enter full immersion. And when you get to full immersion do not stop there either, our Christ is unsearchable in riches, so keep exploring.

"Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead," (Phil 3:12-13).
